Student Marketing Group’s Privacy Promise to Consumers
Student Marketing Group respects consumer’s privacy. SMG
is a valued member of the
Direct Marketing Association (DMA). As a member of Direct Marketing
Association, we follow the DMA’s Privacy Promise to US consumers.
The DMA’s Privacy Promise, which became effective July 1,
1999, is a set of guidelines outlining specific practices businesses
must follow to protect consumer privacy.
With membership in the DMA, we are committed to abide by the four
privacy protection practices mandated by the DMA:
- The Direct Marketing Association Privacy Policy is cited on
this web site to encourage our clients to provide their customers
with notice that they can opt out of communications. For online
marketing, provide notice to both customer and prospects in each
solicitation;
- Honor customer opt-out request not to have their contact information
transferred to others for marketing purposes;
- Accept and maintain consumer requests to be on an in-house
suppress file to stop
receiving solicitations from your company; and,
- Use the DMA Preference Service suppression files for mail,
telephone, and e-mail lists.
See the Deliverability
& Accuracy of Database section for more
